500 Years of Reformation: A Sacred Concert
Join us in a special multi-choir concert, complete with brass, handbells, and organ, to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Martin Luther's 95 Theses started a complete rethinking of the Church, forming a number of church denominations in existence today.

Trinity Episcopal Cathedral
The event will be followed with a Germanic reception at the cathedral.
Net proceeds from the concert will benefit Lutheran Community Services here in Portland. This non-profit organization assists immigrants in the Portland area with housing.
We are accepting donations to go towards event expenses. Cheques may be made out to "Oregon Synod" and mailed to Heidi Kohne, Reformation 500, 1917 NE 77th Ave., Portland, OR 97213; if you would like your donation to be applied to a specific function of the event, please note that in the memo line on the cheque. We cannot accept credit cards. Free-will donations in the form of cash and cheques may also be made at the concert itself.
We have different media items from the event More will be uploaded soon, but at least these crucial elements can be found now. The THRIVENT hymn can be downloaded here. An audio recording of the hymn from the concert can be found here. The audio recording from the whole concert can be found here.
We are requesting that everyone please carpool or use TriMet to get to the Cathedral. There is a Timbers game that afternoon plus another activity happening at the Cathedral, so parking will be hard to come by. Trinity's two lots will be available for Cathedral activities, but spaces are limited.
